Viewing Visit History

Petfolio keeps a complete record of all sitter visits to your pet. Review past visits, see activity patterns, and have documentation of your pet's care.

Accessing Visit History

To view past visits:

1. Go to your pet's profile
2. Click Visits in the navigation
3. You'll see a list of all visits, most recent first

Understanding the Visit List

Each visit entry shows:

• Date - When the visit occurred
• Duration - How long the sitter was there
• Sitter - Who made the visit (if tracked)
• Status - Completed, in progress, or incomplete
• Summary - Brief overview of activities

Click any visit to see full details.

Visit Detail View

When you open a specific visit, you'll see:

Visit Timeline

A chronological view of everything that happened:

• Check-in time - When the sitter arrived
• Activities - Each logged action with timestamps
• Photos - Images shared during the visit
• Notes - Written observations
• Check-out time - When the sitter left

Activity Breakdown

See exactly what was done:

• Feeding - What was fed and when
• Medications - Doses logged
• Walks - Duration and notes
• Other activities - Playtime, grooming, etc.

Photos from the Visit

• View all photos shared during that visit
• Click to enlarge
• See captions if added

Filtering Visit History

Find specific visits easily:

By Date Range

• Filter to a specific time period
• Useful for reviewing vacation care
• See visits from last week, month, or custom range

By Activity Type

• Filter to see only visits with medications given
• Find all visits that included walks
• Review feeding logs specifically

Visit Statistics

Over time, visit history shows patterns:

• Visit frequency - How often your pet is checked on
• Average duration - Typical visit length
• Activity patterns - What happens during visits
• Medication tracking - Consistency of doses

Exporting Visit Data

To save visit history:

1. Go to the Visits page
2. Look for Export or Download option
3. Choose format (if available)
4. Save to your device

Visit History Privacy

Visit records are visible to:

• You (the pet owner) - Always
• People with share links - Only if you enable visit history in share settings
• Sitters - Can see their own visits

Petfolio keeps visit history indefinitely:

• Review visits from months or years ago
• See how care has evolved
• Remember specific incidents
• Track long-term patterns

Incomplete Visits

Sometimes visits show as incomplete:

• Sitter checked in but forgot to check out
• Technical issues during the visit
• Activities are still logged and visible
• Duration cannot be calculated

Handling Incomplete Visits

• Contact your sitter to verify the actual end time
• Activities logged before the issue are preserved
• Consider the visit record still valuable

Common Questions

How far back does history go?

Visit history is kept indefinitely. You can access visits from when you first started using Petfolio.

Can I delete visit records?

Visit records are maintained for accuracy. If there's an issue with a specific record, contact support.

Can sitters edit past visits?

Sitters can only log activities during an active visit. Once checked out, the record is locked.

What if my sitter doesn't use check-in?

You can still view any activities they logged. Consider reminding them about check-in/out for better tracking.
