Tracking Milestones

Milestones help you capture and remember the special moments in your pet's life. From adoption day to training achievements, every memory matters.

What Are Milestones?

Milestones are significant events in your pet's life, such as:

• Adoption day - When your pet joined your family
• Birthdays - Annual celebrations
• Training achievements - Learned a new trick, completed training
• Health events - Recovered from surgery, reached healthy weight
• Life events - First beach trip, first snow, met a new sibling

Think of milestones as a timeline of your pet's journey with you.

Adding a Milestone

To create a new milestone:

1. Go to your pet's profile
2. Find the Milestones section or tab
3. Click Add Milestone
4. Fill in the details:
   • Title - A short name for the milestone
   • Date - When it happened
   • Description - More details about the moment (optional)
   • Photo - Attach a photo to commemorate it (optional)
5. Click Save

Required Fields

Only the title is required. However, adding a date makes your timeline more meaningful.

Milestone Ideas

Not sure what to track? Here are some suggestions:

Getting Started

• Adoption/gotcha day
• First night home
• First vet visit
• Got microchipped

Training & Behavior

• Learned to sit
• House trained
• First successful recall
• Graduated puppy class
• Learned a fun trick

Health & Growth

• Reached adult weight
• First grooming appointment
• Completed vaccinations
• Spayed/neutered
• Recovered from illness

Adventures

• First car ride
• First beach visit
• First hike
• First time meeting another pet
• First holiday celebration

Annual Events

• Birthday celebrations
• Adoption anniversary
• Seasonal firsts (first snow, first summer, etc.)

Viewing Milestones

Milestones appear on your pet's profile:

• In a Timeline view showing chronological order
• On the profile overview as highlights
• Oldest to newest or newest to oldest (depending on view)

Click any milestone to see full details and the attached photo.

Editing Milestones

Made a mistake? Update a milestone:

1. Click on the milestone you want to edit
2. Click Edit or the pencil icon
3. Update any fields
4. Click Save Changes

You can change:

• The title
• The date
• The description
• Add or replace the photo

Deleting Milestones

To remove a milestone:

1. Click on the milestone
2. Click Delete or the trash icon
3. Confirm the deletion

Deleted milestones cannot be recovered.

Attaching Photos to Milestones

Make milestones more memorable with photos:

1. When creating or editing a milestone, look for Add Photo
2. Select an image from your device
3. The photo becomes the milestone's cover image
4. The photo also appears in your gallery (if not already there)

Photo Tips

• Choose a photo that represents the moment
• Clear, well-lit photos work best
• The photo will be displayed as a square thumbnail

Milestones on Shared Profiles

When you share your pet's profile:

• Milestones are included if you enable them in share settings
• Recipients see the milestone timeline
• Photos attached to milestones are visible
• Great for showing family members your pet's journey

Milestones vs. Gallery

Both features store memories, but they serve different purposes:

You can use both together. Upload photos to the gallery for everyday shots, and create milestones for special occasions.
