Photo Storage Limits
Each pet has a photo limit based on your plan:
| Plan | Photos per Pet |
|---|---|
| Free | 50 photos |
| Owner | 100 photos |
| Sitter | 100 photos |
| Breeder | 100 photos |
When you reach your limit, you'll need to delete some photos or upgrade your plan to add more.
What Counts Toward the Limit
- Photos you upload directly
- Photos taken by sitters during visits (these are automatically saved to memories)
- Profile photos (also saved to memories)
Managing Your Photos
To stay within limits:
- Reducing the resolution in your photo editor
- Using your phone's share feature which often compresses images
- Exporting as JPEG instead of PNG
Adding Captions
Add context to your photos with captions:
- Upload or click on a photo
- Find the Caption field
- Enter a description (e.g., "First day home" or "Beach trip 2024")
- Click Save or the caption auto-saves
Captions appear when viewing photos in the lightbox and on shared profiles.
Setting Photo Dates
Photos include the date they were taken (if available in the file metadata). You can also set dates manually:

Troubleshooting
Photo won't upload
- Check your internet connection
- Verify the file is under 10 MB
- Try a different browser
- Make sure the file format is supported
Photo appears rotated
- This sometimes happens with phone photos
- Edit the photo on your device first, then re-upload
- Most modern browsers handle rotation automatically
Upload seems stuck
- Large files take longer, especially on slow connections
- Try refreshing the page and uploading again
- Upload fewer photos at once
Storage and Backups
Your photos are securely stored in the cloud:
- Photos are backed up automatically
- Access from any device by logging in
- Original quality is preserved
We recommend also keeping copies of important photos on your own device or backup service.
