Managing Pet Profiles

Petfolio makes it easy to manage all your pet information in one place. This guide covers everything you need to know about creating and managing pet profiles.

Adding a New Pet

When you first sign up, the onboarding wizard guides you through adding your first pet. To add more pets:

1. Go to your Dashboard
2. Click the Add Pet button
3. Fill in your pet's basic information:
   • Name
   • Species (dog, cat, bird, etc.)
   • Breed (optional)
   • Birthday or approximate age
   • Gender
4. Upload a profile photo
5. Click Save to create the profile

Editing Pet Information

To update your pet's profile:

1. Navigate to your pet's profile page
2. Click the Edit button
3. Update any information you need to change
4. Click Save Changes

Information You Can Edit

• Basic Info: Name, breed, birthday, gender
• Physical: Weight, coat color
• Medical: Allergies, chronic conditions, microchip number
• Vet Information: Vet name, phone, address
• Care Instructions: Feeding schedule, special needs

Uploading Photos

Photos and memories are a big part of Petfolio. To add photos:

1. Go to your pet's Gallery page
2. Click Upload Photos
3. Select one or more photos from your device
4. Add captions or dates (optional)
5. Photos are automatically saved to your pet's gallery

Tip: You can mark photos as favorites by clicking the heart icon. Favorites appear first in your gallery!

Creating Milestones

Track important moments in your pet's life:

1. Visit your pet's profile
2. Scroll to the Milestones section
3. Click Add Milestone
4. Choose a milestone type (adoption day, birthday, training achievement, etc.)
5. Add a date and optional note
6. Attach a photo if you like

Deleting a Pet Profile

If you need to remove a pet profile:

1. Go to your pet's Settings page
2. Scroll to the Danger Zone section
3. Click Delete Pet
4. Type your pet's name to confirm
5. Click Delete Forever

Warning: Deleting a pet profile permanently removes all associated data including photos, health records, and milestones. This action cannot be undone.

Memorial Mode

If your pet has passed away, you can enable memorial mode:

1. Go to your pet's Settings page
2. Toggle on Memorial Mode
3. Your pet's profile will display a memorial banner
4. All their memories and photos are preserved

Memorial profiles remain accessible to you and anyone you've shared them with, serving as a lasting tribute to your beloved companion.

Managing Multiple Pets

If you have multiple pets, you can easily switch between them:

• Use the Dashboard to see all your pets at a glance
• Click any pet card to view their full profile
• Each pet has their own separate health records and memories
